For nearly 15 years, Grumble Jones has been polluting the ASL Community with a mangy, flea-bitten bunch of homegrown scenarios. Included amongst those are the annual Halloween scenarios. With so many, I thought it would be a good exercise to consolidate them in a single post for those with an interest in Weird World War II.
This collection will only include the horror based scenarios. So, the Where the Half-Squads Dare and the Eagle has Landed will not be included. Over the years, these scenarios have been produced with the generous collaboration of Dave and Jeff of the Two-Half Squads, Jackson Kwan, Dan Best, and Rick Reinesch. I am deeply indebted to these fine gentlemen for their kind consideration of the Grumble Jones blog. Their inputs and ideas have made this blog better.
The themes for the Halloween scenarios have been diverse: Zombies at an SS castle, Zombies at a nerve gas plant, Zombies & Aliens at the site of die Glocke, Skin Walkers in the Mojave Desert, a Golem in old Prague, Peiper vs Dinosaurs, Medusa in a Grecian cave, Polar Bears in the Arctic, Crocodiles at Ramree, and Sasquatch in the Pacific Northwest. We have covered a lot of ground in the horror genre and more will follow as the years go by...so many yet untapped ideas and scares await...such as the Pharoah's Curse, Grenadiers in Transylvania, NKVD at Dyatlov Pass...just to name a few!!
