The battle took some rough turns for the defending Americans. The Germans made steady progress on the US left flank and successfully broke the initial US defense line. Fortunately, my reinforcing squads got up in time to lay a new defense and hopefully hold the Germans off long enough for the win.
The German Panther in the center malf'd its main armament and this has given my M-10's a stay of execution at least until the sister Panther makes it move into the fight.
Another look at the center. The Germans also broke one of the MMG's which may give my infantry a break in the coming turn.
The German infantry have done an outstanding job in turning the left flank, but hopefully my last ditch defense will have enough strength to stop them.
